Renovating the Home of the Founders Parkway
The Founders Parkway is a favorite part of Las Vegas. Located between Southwestern Las Vegas and the Paris Las Vegas Boulevard, it's a quick drive to the famed Las Vegas Strip. However, the beautiful landscape that can be seen there is not limited to the Strip. The Parkway is a beautiful landscape also, which includes a walkway paved with wooden planks that leads up to the rock formation known as Castle Rock.
The Founders Parkway's paving style is distinctive in the sense that it has a similar appearance to other public works that are located in Las Vegas. The entrance to the parkway is a stone bench which is set between two stone pillars. The bench, however, is rectangular in design rather than the typical round shape as other parksways that are found in Las Vegas. Around the perimeter of the stone bench concrete has been utilized in a variety of fascinating designs. The concrete patio has six different patterns of concrete.
Concrete tabs make up two concrete pavers utilized in this particular design. These concrete tabs are similar to the common concrete patio located in Las Vegas. The concrete used to create the Castle Rock section of the pavement is colored to make it blend in with surroundings. In the same way it is subtle enough to ensure that the concrete doesn't overwhelm the natural beauty found in the surrounding area.
The remaining three concrete segments are composed of large rock shapes. The large rock designs are colored so that they make them stand out from the concrete. This section of concrete is colored red to distinguish it from other concrete segments along the parkway. The concrete used in this project comes in eleven colors. By using so many colors, the designers have been able to make the Parkway appear as a completely different environment that is distinct from the rest of the development.
The replacement of concrete ramps and sidewalks at base level with granite pavement was another major improvement in the construction of CastleRock's section of Las Vegas Strip. The distinctive color pattern of these pavers blends well into the surrounding area. Apart from providing a aesthetic appeal in the driveway, the granite is easier to walk on , and gives the driveway a smoother experience when it rains.
Another alteration in the look of the Las Vegas Strip comes in the form of an enclosed walkway. The walkway covers the beach's exposed roots, and stops people from walking across the bare roots. This design assists in preventing erosion as well as allowing rainwater to drain into the ocean. Since the concrete used on the walkway is situated in the ground, there isn't a requirement for concrete sealant to be put on the concrete surface. Instead the pavers are encased with a waterproofing material that is slip-resistant and heat-resistant.
